“Ground-0 Beirut Relief Committee” has been established to participate in the rehabilitation efforts in Beirut. We are currently undergoing a detailed assessment of damaged apartments and shops to be able to allocate funds and to assist in the reconstruction and rehabilitation process. The situation in Beirut is dire and it is really a disaster given the destruction that is leaving several families homeless while others suffer from the inability to cope with the handling of the damages. In addition, the explosion exacerbated the already bad economic situation of many other families which pushed us to also work on both the humanitarian and the medical fronts. As a result, we have partnered with three NGOs that have long experience in the three vital sectors that are crucially needed: development and construction, medical and humanitarian.
